OWNER OF THIS STORE IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED!!!!HE SAYS ONE THING IN THE SHOWROOM ...BUT WHEN IT COMES TIME FOR REPAIR OR SERVICE...LOOK OUT!!!!!

HE WILL TRY TO BLAME YOU OR MAKE UP ANY OTHER REASON NOT TO COVER REPAIRS OR SERVICE WITHOUT THE CUSTOMER PAYING!!

HE ALSO MIGHT BE SENDING OUT REPAIR GUYS TO BREAK MORE PARTS IN ORDER TO INCREASE THE BILL!!!THE OWNER OF THE STORE IS TIM..THERE ARE MANY OTHER HOT TUB STORES IN THE AREA TO CHOOSE FROM..DONT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AT THIS PLACE..THIS STORE SHE BE INVESTIGATED AND CLOSED DOWN!!!

Long Island Pool and Spa - Deceptive Sales Practices

I purchased a new Coast Spa in early 2008. This past summer my cover deteriorated to the point where I needed a new cover. I went back to Long Island Pool & Spa to buy a replacement. Not being an expert in spas I worked with Tim the owner. He took out our records from when we purchased new and wrote up an order for a new cover telling us we would be buying an identical cover when out hot tub was new.

When the cover was received and opened at my home, it turned out to be a low quality after-market cover, which was an inch thinner (less insulation) and too big in length and width. When I went back to Long Island Pool & Spa they only way they would help was to charge another $100 plus tax.

Purely a deceptive sales practice. I will never buy anything from Long Island Pool & Spa again. Beware and shop around. There are plenty of others to choose from.

When my Coast Spa was purchased new, it came with a Coast brand cover.

The bottom line is I was promised an identical cover to what I had when my Coast Spa was new.

I DID NOT receive an identical cover. The aftermarket cover is poorly made and too big costing over $500.

Mr.Closs was offered 3 types of covers when he purchased his replacement.

3" thick, 4" thick and 5" thick. He wasn't sure which he had and decided to go with the 4" (mid-level) cover. That is what we specially ordered for him. These covers are custom made as there are so many different sizes.

When Mr. Closs wasn't happy with the cover, I agreed to take his back (even though I probably would not be able to re-sell it for quite awhile) and re-order the thicker one for him. I wasn't going to charge him a dime more than what he would have paid for the 5" cover had he ordedred that in the first place. No re-stocking charge, no shipping.

Just the extra $100 that he would have paid had he originally purchased the 5" cover.We have an A+ rating with the BBB and we take a lot of pride in our customer service.

Long Island Pool and Spa, Avoid at all cost

Long Island pool and Spa were very pleasant, until I paid in full for my "coast spas" hot tub. Long Island pool and Spa never called me to schedule a delivery date of my new Coast Spa. I called Long Island pool and Spa and asked when they would deliver my Coast Spas hot tub, and they gave me 2 dates and missed them both. I was finally told "this saturday", and never received a call from Long Island pool and spa to confirm this delivery date. I called Long Island pool and spa that morning and they said they would deliver it next week. I insisted on that day and they did deliver it finally.

The day I plugged my Coast Spas hot tub in, a few jets popped out. I called Long Island pool and spa in Melville New York (the dealer who sold it to me), and they said they would call me back. They never did. I kept calling and Long Island Pool and spa sent a "tech" to fix it. He didnt fix anything. This went on for 5 trips to my house (over the course of almost 5 months), and finally they decided that they needed to change a part out. Long Island pool and spa had me wait over a month for the part, came to my house, and left without actually changing the part! The tech put some silicone caulk around the loose jet and left it.

When I filled the tub back up and started it up, the jet wouldnt turn! I couldnt open it. I called Long Island pool and spa of Melville NY again and asked them to return (this was the 5th time). I said that I wanted to be at home when they made the "repair" so that I could supervise. They agreed and said they would call me an hour before coming. They never called (no surprise). I came home to a note on my front door telling me everything was fixed.

A day later I was walking around the back of my Coast spas hot tub and saw water pouring out of the access door! I opened the access panel and saw a hole cut in the shroud of the hot tub and water spraying from a hose fitting! It was the jet the "tech" had been working on all along! I called (Long Island pool and spa) again and they said they would "have a tech at my house within an hour". That was 2 hours ago, and the reason I am writing this "review of Long Island Pool and Spa".

"Long Island pool and spa" was available to answer all my questions before I purchased a "coast spa" from them, but the minute I wrote them a check I couldnt get a single owner or manager on the phone again! "Long Island pool and spa" have not once in 5 months returned a phone call when they said they would, the are incapable of servicing the Coast spas they sell, and If I could do it again I would "totally avoid Long Island pool and spa" at all costs!

I Am the customer who posted this original complaint...In the end Tim and Long Island Pool and Spa DID make good on everything, giving me a spa that was even better than the one I purchased.

End result, im a happy satisfied customer. I wish I had posted that they resolved my issues sooner. And as for the hot tub in general... The best purchase I ever made....

It literally solved my yrs of back trouble, put a fire back in my relationship, and the kids love it. It should also be noted that I bought from LI Pool and spa after months of researching and visiting other locations and dealers on LI...

Their selection and knowledgeable staff are second to none.I would recommend them without reservations.

When the spa was purchased (5/18/10), the customer was told it would be roughly 4 weeks for delivery.We delivered the spa on 6/19/10).

After a couple of trips by our technician to this customer's house to fix a problem, I went myself to see what was going on. While my tech fixed the jet popping out problem, he accidentally cut 2 smaller hoses while doing this. I fixed the leak of the smaller hoses and all was good with the spa. No more leaks.

No more jets popping out. But our customer was not happy that the spa needed to be repaired so soon after receiving it. We eventually agreed to replace the spa for him. When we got the replacement in for him, he was not ready for delivery.

We held his replacement for 5 months (no storage charges). Eventually we sold his replacement spa. When our customer called back almost a year after the delivery of the original tub (and being used the entire time), and was ready for his replacement, we ordered a brand new, upgraded model and delivered it for him. He is now enjoying his brand new Coast Spa from Long Island Pool & Spa.

While we strive for perfection, unfortunately sometimes things go wrong. We do what we have to to make sure our customers stay happy.

Long Island Pool & Spa appreciates every one of our customers and do all we can to please them (you).We have and A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and look forward to doing business with you all.
